You probably remember how Tesco deployed virtual store display in Korean subways which lets you shop products by scanning QR codes. Now the Germans are adopting this approach and the drugstore Budnikowsky put posters shops at eleven busy railway stations around the country. They are made of images just like the Tesco’s ones and are selling products of Aliqua brand of natural cosmetics with the QR Codes resolving to the specific items. Watch video after the jump.

Yesterday I talked about how much QR codes have penetrated in French capital Paris. Now I will continue this topic with a QR code use by hotel. I stayed in BEST WESTERN Hotel Le Montparnasse and they are using QR code to present room amenities in the hotel. It was printed on the brochure with card dock locks they gave me and when scanned it leads to PDF describing hotel facilites. Check out how it look like and scan it after the jump.

I was in Paris last week and was very pleasantly surprised to see QR codes used everywhere. From brochures, tickets, instructional cards to billboard ads. I will present you some which got my attention and the first one is the QR code KONICA MINOLTA use to present their latest product – Optimizer. They have printed two QR codes on the billboard – international one for Europe and local for France, and when scanned leads you to mobile site which introduces you to the product. The Sanibel Recreation Center, located at SANIBEL ISLAND, FL, is making first appearance in the region with unique sticker on their front door displaying a QR code. When scanned by a smartphone, the QR code will link you to the rec center’s schedule, hours, and weekly information. The sticker is the first of many on the island. FC Barcelone uses QR Code to promote barca fans

We are very happy to see one of the greatest football clubs in the world FC Barcelona start using QR Codes. They placed several posters with QR codes around its grounds at Camp Nou with the will to give all visitors to the stadium the chance to win a shirt signed by the first team football squad. All they have to do is register as Barça Fans at http://www.fcbfans.com on their mobiles between August 9 and September 15.

Cookery goes interactive on BBC One TV Program The Good Cook with QR codes. BBC just made a step forward with implementing QR code to make remembering of recipes more convenient for viewers. Now you can throw away notepads and stop recording cooking shows you like, you just need to have smartphone with QR reader app installed. Just scan the code you see on your TV screen and you are headed to BBC’s mobile site where you get all ingredients and procedure while following the directions given by the chef-host.

Do you remember our article how Tuborg deliver custom content with QR codes? Here is another great example by Bulmers using QR codes on their cider drink bottles. They want you to scan the QR code and join the Experiment, which is in fact a poll that answers the “How sociable are you?” question.

They have adopted QR codes and prepared this test to celebrate the launch of new Bulmers N:17. So if you are able get a bottle of Bulmers Original Cider, drink it and scan the QR code, if not here is photo where you can also scan the code and have fun.
